The Massachusetts Service Alliance furthers the principles and ideals of community service, community service-learning, and volunteerism, in part, by investing public and private funds in community-based organizations.

Occasionally, other organizations inform us when they have money available.  Currently, the following Request for Proposals (RFPs) are available:

The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship Program, in partnership with Northeastern University and the Massachusetts Service Alliance, announces the release of the 2003 Host Site Application (available here in .pdf format) for the Massachusetts Promise Fellowship Program. Twenty-five positions will be awarded to local and state youth-serving agencies, schools, and nonprofit organizations this coming year. The deadline to submit your proposal is January 15, 2003. Third Sector New England, a nonprofit management support organization, is offering 10 technical assistance grants (ranging from $25,000 to $50,000 each) through its Capacity Building Fund.  These grants will support issues relating to human resources, strategic planning, fund development planning, board development planning, and financial assistance.  Applications will be taken on a rolling basis, with three deadlines per year: Aug. 31 for October funding, Nov. 15 for January funding, and May 15 for July funding.  For more information, visit www.TSNE.org.
